We did the Wave hike a long time ago & back then the rangers acted all funny about it. They wouldn't even admit there was such a place until we showed them our ticket/pass thingy we had to buy from the rangers online. The guy was seriously acting like he didn't know what hike we were talking about. Government crazies!
